The research activity deals with some subjects of modern physics by analyzing their thematic and conceptual implications, and by investigating the scientific and cultural contexts in which they developed. The substantialistic or relational interpretations of space-time are compared and their consequences in special and general relativity analized.

In quantum mechanics, research is concentrated on the historical development of wave/particle duality and quanton properties; on the role of trajectories in the causal interpretations of the theory; on universal uncertainty relations (Ozawa, Fujikawa) and the possible violation of the Heisenberg error/disturbance uncertainty; on non-locality and its conceptual implications.
